This past weekend, we traveled to Maine as a company for our first ever retreat. Weekend highlights included: lots of yoga, a lobster dinner, s'mores, plenty of laughs and some work, too...

Hard at work, McNeill wears Holly Velvet Slippers, and Carson stays warm in her Furry Babouches.
Our main objective for the weekend was to write our mission and vision for Artemis Design Co., and to brainstorm new ways to build community, and delight our customers.
Our Mission:
"We make charming shoes for curious people, delivered with uncommon care and delight. We strive to make everyone we touch dream, and make every customer we serve feel unique."

Our Vision:
"To build a community of Artemisians who are inspired to engage more
deeply with the world and its many layers of beauty."

Each morning we started our day with a yoga class instructed by Mihaela Dumea, our private yoga instructor.

Jackson (Mihaela’s Golden Retriever), Tina (McNeill’s Boxer mix), and Gerry (Milicent’s Dachsund mix) are all valuable Artemis team members.

Our morning coffee was a total necessity to start the day!

Carson’s outfit unintentionally matched our meal of lobster and drawn butter perfectly.
