\n\nThis past weekend, we traveled to Maine as a company for our first ever retreat. Weekend highlights included: lots of yoga, a lobster dinner, s'mores, plenty of laughs and some work, too...\n\nHard at work, McNeill wears Holly Velvet Slippers, and Carson stays warm in her Furry Babouches.\nOur main objective for the weekend was to write our mission and vision for Artemis Design Co., and to brainstorm new ways to build community, and delight our customers.\nOur Mission:\n"We make charming shoes for curious people, delivered with uncommon care and delight. We strive to make everyone we touch dream, and make every customer we serve feel unique."\n\nOur Vision:\n"To build a community of Artemisians who are inspired to engage moredeeply with the world and its many layers of beauty."\n\nEach morning we started our day with a yoga class instructed by Mihaela Dumea, our private yoga instructor.Check her out on Instagram: @breathewithyoga\n\n\nJackson (Mihaela’s Golden Retriever), Tina (McNeill’s Boxer mix), and Gerry (Milicent’s Dachsund mix) are all valuable Artemis team members.\n\nOur morning coffee was a total necessity to start the day!\n\nFunky knick knacks and Maine memorabilia on our mantle piece.\n\nGerry exploring our workspace.\n\n\n\nOur new Kilim Sandals\n\nin the Maine landscape. We cut these lilacs fresh from the bush to brighten up our workspace--they smelled wonderful.\n\nCarson’s outfit unintentionally matched our meal of lobster and drawn butter perfectly.\n\n\n\nA dinner of Maine lobster, followed by s’mores and board games in front of the roaring fire. What could be better?\n\nWe spent a lot of time on the retreat in our new\n Kilim Sandals.\nOn our last morning in Maine, we snagged some photos of how we style our Kilim shoes.
