Our Core Collection marries the comfort and classic shapes of our customers’ favorite styles with buttery leathers, sumptuous suedes and other fine materials in solid, everyday colors. We hope that this collection makes your everyday dressing a real pleasure, and rounds out your wardrobe with elevated, timeless basics.

In sourcing a black leather for our Core Collection, we pored over different textures, grains, depth of color, and levels of sheen before settling on this one. It has a very fine grain, a sheen level that would be described as "satin" if it were a house paint, and is a true inky black. This is the Little Black Dress of your shoe collection...dress it up or down, and take it everywhere!

Our Story

Ours is a love story; a magical carpet ride started in 2007 when designer Milicent Armstrong first fell in love with shoes and bags made from vintage Kilim carpets on a trip to Istanbul.

Craftsmanship

At Artemis Design Co., our chain of production is hands-on and handmade. Our kilim products are crafted from hand-sourced vintage textiles, and each pair of shoes takes two full days to create.
