Made from a hand-selected textile (learn more below). Soft leather trim, lined in cotton canvas. Includes a detachable, adjustable leather shoulder strap.
Handmade in Turkey in a small, family-owned workshop.

Kilims are a style of textile traditionally crafted on Turkey's Anatolian peninsula, primarily woven from wool on a cotton ground. Kilims are flat-woven, featuring a thin, tight weave that make them a perfect textile for crafting shoes and accessories. Every symbol, color, and pattern woven into the Kilim has meaning and represents a hope, a dream, or a story from the life of the weaver.

Each of our Kilim pieces is handmade from vintage, one-of-a-kind Turkish carpets, which means that no two will ever be alike. We photograph each item individually, so what you see on the product page is exactly what you'll receive.

Since our products are made from vintage textiles, each pair we make is completely unique! Even two pairs cut from the same carpet can look very different depending on placement of the pattern, borders vs. interior, etc.

The carpets themselves are vintage, generally with some sort of damage that makes them no longer suitable for use in a home. We repurpose the intact parts as shoes and accessories.

Yes! We photograph each one-of-a-kind product individually, so the two main images at the very top of the page are exactly what you'll receive. Any additional images and videos are other examples of the same style, just to show you what it looks like in action.

Perfect, versatile bag for everyday use

"I'd been eyeing this beautiful bag for a bit and decided to get it for fall. I bought it for the unique design (well obviously they're all unique but this one's double that) and because it came with the black leather details, to carry with my black loafers and other black shoes. But why not wear it with nearly any shoe in the closet? It's a perfect size for daily use--I can keep all I need in it, eyeglass case, wallet, small makeup bag, phone, earbuds, plus a small paperback."

"I’ve waited a long time for a baby duffle. It’s almost perfect! I wish it had feet on the bottom and rings on the sides for the strap. I find clipping the strap to the handle hardware a little awkward. Regardless, I’m still so happy with it!"

"We saw a lady on tv with a carpet/rug bag, and my wife was enamored. I found Artemis Designs from an instagram post by City and Colour (Dallas Green) a couple years ago.
