Suzani is an ancient needlework technique originating in central Asia, historically employed by brides in preparation for their wedding day. These beautiful textiles are typically made of silk thread on a silk or silk-cotton blended ground fabric, and often in vibrant colors. Tulips, carnations, vines, crescents, and fruit are all popular motifs.
